Joseph W. Gardner has 25 years of experience representing those charged with murder
cases, those charged with traffic tickets and everything in between.

If you find yourself being a suspect in a criminal investigation, you need an experienced
lawyer.  The phrase "anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of
law" is true.  The only reason law enforcement officers speak to suspects is to make a
case against those suspects.  If law enforcement officers already have a case against a
suspect, there is no need to speak with the suspect, there is no need to speak with the
suspect except to make the case stronger.

Law enforcement officers are experts in obtaining  incriminating information from a
suspect, even if the suspect is innocent.  The Martha Stewart case was a case in point.
A jury found Martha Stewart not guilty on the charge of securities fraud, yet the jury
found her guilty of obstruction of justice for statements she made to the federal
investigators during questioning.  An experienced criminal defense lawyer would have
insisted that Martha Stewart not spoken to anyone. Had Martha Stewart had the
presence of mind to simply request a lawyer before any questioning, she would not
have spent any time in prison and would not be labeled, for life, as a convicted felon.

If you find yourself being questioned by law enforcement, request a lawyer, and if you
desire, call our offices at (330) 533-1118 or (330) 509-1118.

If you find yourself charged with a crime or arrested, you need a lawyer.  Call our
offices at (330) 533-1118 or (330) 509-1118.  In this day, legal representation is
advisable on relatively  minor criminal infractions.  Take for instance the parents who
find that their 18 year old son or daughter has been issued a "citation" for marijuana
possession.  The police and prosecution will tell you that it is a minor and less serious
than a traffic ticket.  They will tell you that the infraction is a "slap on the wrist" simply
to get the case off of their docket.

What the police and prosecution will not tell you is:

1.  Your son or daughter will lose his or her driving privileges by the BMV for at least 6
months.

2.  Forget about the hunting trip that you planned.  Your son or daughter will not be
permitted to possess a firearm because he or she is now a "drug offender."

3.  Without the right to possess a firearm, any career plans will vanish in the military,
police work or private security.

The $25.00 fine will seriously affect your son or daughter for the rest of their life.

For the past fifteen years, Attorney Gardner has been litigating serious and
complex-serious federal cases in Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown and Cincinnati.  These
cases require an attorney experienced with all aspects of federal law and procedure.
Competent counsel is an absolute necessity.  If you find yourself under investigation for
a any crime, you need a lawyer.
The person who represents himself or herself has a
fool for a client.
